Indie dream pop and Indian rhythms collide – John Schaefer, WNYC

Parallel‘s lyrical nuances have the flow of a poem which begs re-reading - Popmatters

Magnetic and otherworldly trio Tongues In Trees have confirmed winter tour dates including performances at Winter Jazzfest NYC, The Greenwich House Music School and Boston's CRASHfest and more. See below for current tour dates.

With a wide range of influences including Black Keys, Okinawan folk master Seijin Noborikawa, Deerhoof, Bjork, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, and The Cure, Parallel was produced by the band, mixed by Hernan Santiago (TV on the Radio, Ashford & Simpson, N’Dea Davenport) and mastered by Michael Fossenkemper (David Byrne, Kaki King, Bill Laswell, Bootsy Collins).

After many months of improvising, composing, developing, rehearsing and performing shows in New York City, Tongues in Trees sat down to record their debut in February 2014 at Brooklyn's The Glass Wall studio. Parallel is a testament to the chemistry and eclectic sound of this band of three, magnetic forces in parallel, at times attracting and at times repelling, but always in line with one another.
